Kept Warm for the Mountain
About the Book
A house can be broken. A house can be hungry.
In the mountains, survival is work. Every day is patching, hauling, fixing, enduring. Until the day the house starts fixing you back. The wrong kind of quiet moves in. The wrong kind of order. The kind that does not feel supernatural at first — just efficient. Just like something old that knows what it needs and has decided you will provide it.
Rooted in real Appalachian lore and tradition, Kept Warm for the Mountain is weird, graphic, and unsettling in the way that only mountain horror can be. The house always knows. The house always collects its tax.

Why I Write This
Jonathan lives in the mountains. This one came from the specific unease of a structure that knows you're there — not malevolent exactly, just hungry and patient and older than anything you brought into it.
